Malaysia is steeped in history and Culture, formed in 1963 through a federation of the former British colonies of Malaya and Singapore. The Federation of Malaysia comprises Peninsular Malaysia and the states of Sabah and Sarawak on the island of Borneo covering an area of 329,758sqkm between the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea, with a population in excess of 22 million. Malaysia Tourism has increased to over 20.9million in 2007 an increase of 3.5 million on the previous year. Malaysia is now showing the world the beauty that lies within its country. Malaysia’s east coast is the top spot to catch some rays for those living in Kuala Lumper cheap and easy to reach by plan. Port Dickson, the playground resort in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, is 34km from the state capital of Seremban and about one and a half hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur. It offers 18km of fine sandy beaches fringed by casuarinas, coconut palms and the spreading branches of the Banyan tree. The road practically hugs the coastline - you can just stop wherever it suits your fancy and just plunge into the cool waters. Vendors along the road offer thirst quenching drinks of coconut water and sugar-cane juice. Plunge headlong into a day of fun-filled leisure activities such as water-skiing, canoeing, snorkelling and wind surfing. About 15 km from Port Dickson town lies the Blue Lagoon which offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding greenery and the blue open sea. The lagoon is an ideal spot for swimming, boating, wind surfing and water sking.
Sepang is a town and district located in the southern part of the state of Selangor in Malaysia. Formerly a sleepy town, Sepang has grown by leaps and bounds due to several recent developments. Sepang district is perhaps best known for hosting the Sepang International Circuit and as the site of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, which serves Kuala Lumpur. The Sepang F1 International Circuit is the home of the Malaysian Grand Prix which is the Malaysian leg of the Formula One race. The district of Sepang is also famous for the township of Cyberjaya which is also known as the Silicon Valley of Malaysia vis-à-vis its association with the Multimedia Super Corridor. Currently, over 250 multinational companies are located in Cyberjaya.
