The resort, which was opened in February 2002, however recently refurbished with new clubhouse, gym and pool. Island Club West boosts many fantastic facilities including 24 hour Front Desk/Security, tropical heated outdoor pool with in ground hot tub, children's pool, steam room/sauna, fitness centre, spa, games room, basketball court, sand volleyball court, billiards room, tennis court, and Barefoots poolside Tiki Bar & Grill.

Island Club West is in a great location, surrounded by other short term rental communities and next door to Highlands Reserve Golf course where Island Club West residences enjoy discount green fees.

The nearest shopping mall is less than 1/5 mile from the resort, with many bars restaurants and shopping a short drive to either 192 or to Cagan Crossing all less than 10 minutes drive. The gates of Disney are only 5 minutes drive from the resort.
